This guide walks you through the process of enabling the Setera Teams Telephony App.

The app is enabled through the Setera SMP self-service portal.


Prerequisites:

  • A login with Global Admin permissions for your Microsoft 365 account

  • A login with Admin permissions for your Setera Organization in the SMP portal


Required licenses:

  • Minimum 1 x unassigned Microsoft 365 user licenses (Business Basic / Business Premium / E1 / E3 / E5) available during the initial setup

  • Minimum 1 x Microsoft Teams Phone Standard license

  • Minimum 1 x Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account license (free)

  • OneCloud Basic user license & Setera Teams Telephony App license



1. Login to smp.setera.com 

2. Go to Add-Ons -> Enable Teams Telephony

3. Go to Configuration

4. Grant consent permissions using a user with Microsoft Global Admin rights in your organization

5. Once the consent permission has been granted, click "Sync" to authorize your tenant's connection to the application. 


At this stage, there must be at least 1 available Microsoft 365 user license in your organization.


After the initial sync is completed, it is recommended to wait 1 hour to ensure the synchronization is fully processed and user licenses are visible in the next step.


6. Select the "Users" tab and add users.


Find user and assign Teams Telephony Phone App license


After the user has been added, it is recommended to perform a manual sync once more.


After that, the user should appear with a "Connected" status.
